Adult Social Tennis
Our club runs three social tennis sessions per week (Monday, Thursday and Sunday). These are friendly sessions played over two hours. The usual format is to play a few rounds of doubles with pairings rotated each round - giving a great opportunity to get to know other players.
How it works
- Participants must book in advance via the 'Adults' programme page on this website. You will be sent a confirmation email after booking.
- Payment should be made at the start of the social session by cash or card (transaction fee applies for card payments).
- Cost per session is £5 for non-members and £3 for members.
- If you can no longer attend a session you must cancel in advance or you maybe blocked from booking further sessions. To cancel please send a cancellation email to info@queensparkctc.org stating your name and the session that you will wish to cancel so the committee can try and arrange a replacement and keep the numbers for the session balanced.
See below for more information on the timings and playing levels of each session.
Sunday Afternoon Social Tennis (2 to 4pm)
This is a volunteer run session that is suitable for intermediate to advanced players, with everyone welcome to come along for a game. The format is adult doubles matchplay (assuming even numbers) with pairings rotated over a few rounds.
We usually have 12 to 15 players per session, playing on the top three courts. Note that some weekends the session may be moved to a Saturday, or have less places available due to match schedules - please double check this when you book!
Monday 'Hitters' Social Tennis (7 to 9pm)
This a members only session that is best suited to more experienced players. Most sessions have 12 to 16 players in an adult doubles matchplay format over three or four courts.
Thursday 'Rusty Rackets' Social Tennis (7 to 9pm)
This session is for beginners or those who haven't played in a while and is a great way to find your way into tennis through friendly games with similar level players. The session consists mainly of adult doubles matchplay, with pairings rotated every round. Depending on numbers and abilities, the session may also involve a small element of coaching.
