Social Tennis Fair Usage Policy

Each social tennis session will open for booking exactly one week in advance.

Please do not book on to both the Sunday and Monday sessions straight away as places are limited and we want to give as many people as possible the chance to play.  If someone books both sessions, we reserve the right to cancel one of the sessions at our choice.

Members can select which day they would like to play then if later in the week (Thursday/Friday) there are still spaces on the other day, members may book a second session. (Remember Monday is not suitable for beginners/improvers.)

The same policy applies for people booking both Thursday and Sunday social tennis sessions.

Social Tennis Playing Level Policy

Our social tennis sessions are purposefully structured to provide attendees the opportunity to play against opponents of a similar level, allowing them to have an enjoyable session and continue to develop their tennis.  To enable this, required playing levels for each social tennis session are linked to the structure of our adult coaching programme (beginner, beginners plus, improver, and intermediate/ advanced) as follows:

• Thursday social tennis (Rusty Rackets): beginners (who are able to at least hold a rally across the net), beginners plus and improver level players.

• Sunday social tennis: beginners plus, improvers and intermediate/ advanced level players.

• Monday social tennis (Big Hitters): intermediate/ advanced level players only.

If you are unsure what your playing level is, please speak to a committee member or the club coach for advice. Players who book onto a session that is not the correct playing level for them will be notified of this and have their booking cancelled.
